Today my friend Mary and I hit the gym. It has been a few months and I am in serious need of getting back to making it a regular habit, so today was the first day back. When I was leaving I was thinking to myself that yesterday’s smoothie was so delicious, I would make one today for after my workout.
I made a few adjustments for todays because I figured I could use some banana potassium for recovery and to avoid cramping and I found a few packs of Emergen-C that I figured would be just as good as those “immunity boosts” smoothie places like to add.
- 1 small ripe banana
- ½ C plain yogurt
- ¼ teaspoon ginger powder
- 1 tablespoon honey
- ½ C milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (the real stuff)
- ¼ C frozen raspberries
- ¼ C frozen (halved) strawberries
- 1 packet raspberry Emergen-C
Blend until smooth and can be enjoyed with a straw.
